Kaj Dyrvold

Driven by curiosity, a desire to explore and interpret.

With an epic, multi-bottomed expression filled with ulterior motives i often work with oil, charcoal, and acrylic, natural and construction materials, usually in large formats, with a focus on color, shape and dimensions beyond the simple and obvious, and sometimes on the obvious simple. Kitsch or contemporary, I like them both.

With a great passion for live art performance, accompanied by music, in any possible setup.

“The art and music goes hand in hand, inseparable and connected through the rhythm, harmony, shades, contrasts, pace and timing. They are composed to tell, ask and affect. Deeply focused when livepainting, almost in another world but always inspired by the music, atmosphere and the surroundings. The art and music are deeply engaged in an intimate love story and when the last tone sighs, only the good feelings, memories and the art remains. The Art is captured - like a camera manifested by the intense but fleeting touch of music ...”
